To register, download the formPDF, and send it with your fee to the AGD. You can choose to take the exam in one of three ways:

Special Accommodations
If you’re taking the paper and pencil version of exam and need special accommodations, please complete the following:

  1. Submit a letter to the AGD a minimum of 60 days before the exam deadline requesting special accommodations; and
  2. Provide documentation from a qualified professional (physician, psychologist, counselor) who is currently treating you verifying your condition and the specific assistance you’ll require.

The AGD reserves the right to authorize the use of auxiliary aids or modifications in such a way as to maintain the integrity and security of the examination process.

Paper/Pencil at the Annual Meeting
Take the Fellowship Exam on paper and pencil at the AGD Annual Meeting & Exhibits. You can register separately for the exam by downloading the registration form PDF and sending it to the AGD or with your annual meeting registration. You may also register on-site to take the exam up to and including the morning of the exam.

DANTES Testing Centers for Overseas U.S. Military Personnel
Members who are in the military and stationed overseas may register to take the exam at a DANTES facility, given in conjunction with the annual meeting examination date. To register, complete the registration formPDF, and send it to the AGD. Additionally, you must have your DANTES Test Control Officer (TCO) send a letter to the AGD verifying the following information:

  • Name of the proctor administering the exam;
  • Shipping address for the DANTES facility;
  • Contact telephone number or e-mail address for the TCO;
  • Confirmation of the test-taker’s name; and
  • A statement confirming that the TCO will administer and secure the exam until such time when it is returned to the AGD.

Members will not be allowed to sit for the Fellowship Exam if a letter is not submitted from the DANTES TCO.  Letters may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the AGD.

Computerized at a Schroeder Measurement Technology (SMT) testing center
A computerized version of the 2009 Fellowship Exam (approximately 250 questions, four-hour time allotment) is offered year-round through Schroeder Measurement Technologies (SMT) testing centers throughout the U.S. If you wish to take the computerized exam, complete the exam application at least two weeks in advance of the date you plan to take the testing.  NOTE: During the months of October, November, and December registration fills up quickly so be sure to call to schedule your appointment at least three weeks in advance of the date you plan to take the exam.

The computer version of the 2008 Fellowship Exam (400 questions, six-hour time allotment) is available through December 2009. Members who register to take the Fellowship Exam will automatically be registered for the 2009 version of the Fellowship Exam unless a member has already attempted the 2009 exam.  Members are not allowed to sit for the same version of an exam more than once.

The AGD will process your payment and notify the testing company that you are eligible to take the exam.  The testing company will send all exam candidates an e-mail confirmation that contains a user name and password which is needed to set an appointment for the exam.  Candidates will not be allowed to set an appointment without their user name and password.

Registering for an Appointment with SMT
Once you have submitted your exam application and fee to the AGD, you will be sent an e-mail from SMT with your user ID and password.  You will need this information in order to schedule a testing appointment.  Go to www.isoqualitytesting.com  and click on “Take a Test” tab on the top left of the home page.  Click on “register for an exam” and follow the prompts to schedule an appointment.

SMT Testing Sites
Need to find a testing site to take the Fellowship Exam? Go to www.isoqualitytesting.com and click on the testing center tab on the top right of the home page.
