Scan Member Cards

To make the collection of AGD membership numbers easier for providers at courses, all AGD membership cards include a bar code similar to the UPC codes you find on most grocery items. This bar code can be scanned for quick collection and submission of the AGD member ID numbers.

Some time during the program, providers can scan each membership card. Information on the scanner can then be downloaded onto a Microsoft® Word or Excel document and copied into the AGD’s Online Roster Submission form.

Providers must still maintain a complete participant roster MS Excelthat includes both AGD members and non-members and distribute a verification of attendance MS Wordto each participant upon course completion.

Provider Tip: Shop around for a Scanner
Providers are encouraged to research the many scanners available and purchase the one that best meets their needs. Type the words “barcode scanner” in your favorite search engine and view results from there, or visit some of these Web sites for options:

AGD constituents should visit the Constituent Leader Duties section of the AGD Web site for more information.

Note: The Flic Scanner sold by CardSmart has been discontinued.  If you use this scanner, please contact 425.415.6658 for technical support.
